This is a striking afghanite crystal rising cleanly from its bright marble matrix, with a vivid, saturated blue that immediately captures attention. The crystal measures 3 cm and stands with a well-defined, sculptural form, its faces displaying a soft translucence and a natural, matte luster that is characteristic of the finest examples from this locality. The contrast between the deep blue afghanite and the calcite matrix gives the piece a beautifully balanced presence. Even though the crystal has been repaired with the matrix, the overall quality and aesthetics remain superb. The specimen is completely self-standing, displaying naturally, and the vibrant orange fluorescence under UV light adds an extra layer of interest and distinction. With its intense color, contrast, and refined aesthetics, this afghanite stands as a highly appealing and collectible piece.
