This is an intense, Neon purple Apatite from a well-known locality of the world for Apatite. I am not aware of any large pockets or finds of this material but, from time to time, it apparently came out. I am told this mostly dates to the 1960s and 1970s. Small sparkly crystals of Perfect gemmy Apatite crystals sit on double-terminated Quartz with super luster and small fine snow-white Albite grown with it. The Apatite has intense color and higher luster with great gemminess distinguishing this few-choice Apatite from their (still rare) modern Afghani counterparts which may at first glance appear similar. This sparkling jewel-like cluster is complete all around. A tiny bit of sparkling albite crystallization adhering to the plate of Quartz with the Apatite makes the contrast stunning. Extremely rare to find such a jewel in such perfection.
