This lovely, gemmy, and glassy single crystal is in excellent color saturation. It comes from the Jos Plateau and displays one of the most coveted hues found in green beryl. Its vibrant color and high-quality luster make it a breathtaking example of its kind.
Vanadium beryl is a rare green variety found primarily in Nigeria, particularly in the Nasarawa and Jos Plateau regions. Unlike traditional emeralds, which derive their color from chromium and iron, vanadium beryl obtains its green hue solely from the presence of vanadium in its chemical structure. The Nasarawa Egon mine is primarily known for producing highly saturated, gem-quality vanadium beryl crystals.
