Anatase with Chlorine Quartz on Matrix
Anatase with Chlorine Quartz on Matrix is a metastable mineral form of titanium dioxide (TiO2) with a tetragonal crystal structure. Although colorless or white when pure, anatase in nature is usually a black solid due to impurities.
Three other polymorphs (or mineral forms) of titanium dioxide are known to occur naturally: brookite, akaogiite, and rutile, with rutile being the most common and most stable of the bunch. Anatase is formed at relatively low temperatures and found in minor concentrations in igneous and metamorphic rocks.

Very beautiful and perfect sharp terminated anatase crystals with chlorine quartz beautifully sit on the matrix, it is absolutely perfect all around with great termination and superb luster. The anatase crystal dimension (LWD) is 1.8 x 1 x 0.8 cm.
The presentation faces are shiny, striated, and very sharp. this is just a killer combination piece! To me, it is one of the finest pieces. It is a very attractive miniature specimen, Simply the best and perfect Matrix piece I have seen in a long time just pure aesthetic and beauty.
