Aquamarine With Schorl Spray

Aquamarine With Schorl Spray, In recent decades, a steady supply of aquamarine has come from northern Pakistan, an increasingly important mining locality.

The aquamarine was mined mostly from the Gilgit-Baltistan region, including the Shigar Valley, as well as the Hunza and Braldu Valleys.

The aquamarine occurs in zoned pegmatites formed by hydrothermal fluids in the cavities or veins (M.H. Agheem et al., “Shigar Valley gemstones, their chemical composition and origin, Skardu, Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan,

A 5cm wide and 6.5cm tall, this is a dramatic aquamarine crystal flanked by a group of sharp black schorls sprayed on this deep blue gemmy Aqua that makes the piece much more aesthetic and interesting than your normal aqua alone might be.

The crystal is super gemmy, and it is like a window to look through and see schorls on either side. A fine, complete-all-around specimen from recent finds – but unique amongst them.

It has an Incredible colour with super clarity and lustre and aesthetics is at its best with superb colour contrast one of the finest single crystal of Aquamarine we have seen for a long time. (Return Accepted)
