Rhodochrosite Cluster from Shigar
Rhodochrosite is a stunningly beautiful mineral renowned for its vibrant pink to rose-red hues and captivating patterns. Its name originates from the Greek words “rhodon” meaning rose and “chroma” meaning color, aptly describing its captivating appearance.
This unusual rhodochrosite specimen features a beautiful cluster that’s 2.1 cm broad and 2 cm thick. I love the unique aesthetics of this pretty cluster as there is one exceptionally well developed crystals of striking red color and very good clarity, exceptional colour and great luster.
Most spectacular however is of course this rhodochrosite itself which impresses with intensive color, clarity and flawless perfection. The shape is very unusual for it is none of those characteristic scalenohedrons but a more compact hexagonal wheel.
It is absolutely perfect all around without any damage at all with great aesthetic display.
