A well-formed chromium dravite tourmaline crystal is prominently set on a white crystalline matrix, creating a clean, balanced composition. The crystal displays a rich green color, good luster, and a sharp crystal form. The green color is primarily due to chromium and, in some specimens, may also be influenced by trace amounts of vanadium. Although toenail-sized, the crystal is well-proportioned and stands out clearly against the contrasting matrix, making this an attractive display specimen.
