Presenting this amazing specimen with a size of staggering 2.3 cm is a fantastic Rubellite from the famous mine of Colombia. The aesthetics of the massy, intensively candy-red Rubellite aggregate on Quartz is straight textbook. The Quartz is translucent and has a yellow tinge when backlit. The Rubellite itself is translucent through and through with a color that changes from a deep red at the bottom to a totally striking, sweet candy red at the terminations. This specimen is definitely an eye-catcher for any showcase! The luster is especially good at the front side, showing sparkling striations. The color is an intensive raspberry red that’s easily lit even at room light. It has one repair however it is still a beautiful piece and very lovely overall. The already striking aesthetics is much enhanced by some contrasting Quartz and Feldspar matrix.
