Hauyne var. Lazurite Pseudo morphing After Phlogopite from Badakhshan Afghanistan
An interesting specimen of Lazurite a variety of Hauyne which is partial pseudomorphs after Phlogopite, the most important Lazurite crystals retain the sharp pseudo hexagonal form of the original Phlogopite that they pseudo morphed, but many of them are exposed to show the pre-existing mica inside.
A great rarity in the mineral world and from what I understand, these specimens are no longer being found.
