Tanzanite

Tanzanite is a highly prized variety of zoisite, found only in the Merelani Hills of Tanzania. It is admired for its vivid pleochroism, showing deep blue, violet, and sometimes flashes of burgundy depending on the viewing angle. This unique optical effect, combined with its intense colors, sets tanzanite apart from most other gemstones.
