Tourmaline with Quartz on Matrix

This piece is absolutely spectacular! One single tourmaline, 8 cm long and 3.8 cm thick, protrudes from a massive and beautiful albite-matrix and amazing quartz. The tourmaline holds breathtaking deep green color, fantastic luster and is gemmy through and with incredible termination.

It is Absolutely perfect without any damage or restoration – an incredible fact, considering the length of the freely towering crystal! The tourmaline is very fatty, the albite is generally in good condition, the tourmaline crystal beautifully holds by good quality quartz from the back, which is clearly visible due to its supporting arrangement.

A fine and astonishingly well composed and well balanced specimen from Paprok.
