Pink Tourmaline is a variety of Tourmaline that can be found in pale light pink, to bright hot pink colors. This mineral can be seen in raw, transparent, and opaque formations. It’s commonly found in association with Quartz, and other Tourmaline colors. Do not confuse this stone with Rubellite (Red Tourmaline), although they can be found in the same mines. Afghanistan is well known for producing a variety of different colors of Tourmaline especially Paprok in Nuristan province and pink color is among the best colors found in this region! One of the most vibrant and electric colors of Tourmalines is found in Mawi Pegmatite, Pachigram Pegmatite field which is about 4 hours drive from the famous Paprok Valley in Nuristan Province! This particular specimen is from the same Pachigram Pegmatite field. It is vibrant cranberry pink perfectly terminated on snow-white Albite with super shiny white Muscovite! This color is known as one of the finest pinks ever to be found in such a luster and super vibrant attractive color in person. they are adorable and there are no words to explain exactly how beautiful they are until seen in person.
