A superb, well-formed, intensely purple Apatite crystal with sharp Schorl, Muscovite, and nice blades of Calcite from the Mawi Pegmatite of Afghanistan. This is one of the finest purple Apatites that I have seen from this well-known locale, with incredible candy-sharp crystal grown in the middle of various combinations of minerals to make this specimen very different and unique from the normal combinations. This beautiful specimen has excellent luster and translucency. The Apatite crystal itself is complete all around. The nicely complementary schorl crystals grown so beautifully make one of the best combo pieces with such intense purple color, perfection, and contrast.
