Malachite exemplifies the pinnacle of Earth’s abstract sculptures. The tall spires, peaks, and valleys, ranging in color from dark forest to pure jade green, along with a sugary texture that reflects light in all directions, render the “Emerald City” one of the most spectacular malachite specimens. The primary source of malachite is China. This specific locality has yielded numerous malachite specimens, but this particular one stands out as an excellent example in size class, showcasing jaw-dropping unique growths of malachite in a tower form on a malachite matrix. The overall shape features multiples stunning malachites proudly standing in tower form on a malachite bed. The growth displays an impressive composition, revealing black and greenish spots, and unique patterns on the entire specimen. While the back side’s elongated crystal has been repaired, the rest are in absolutely gorgeous and perfectly fine condition. This piece is an important locality specimen and adds a nice combination of size and shape to one’s collection.
