Hingganite-(Nd), ideally Nd2Be2Si2O8(OH)2, is a new gadolinite group mineral discovered in Zagi Mountain, near Kafoor Dheri, about 4 km South of Warsak and 30 km North West of Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, Pakistan. The new mineral forms zones measuring up to 2.8 cm and 2.3 cm in loose prismatic crystals up to 1.9 cm long, where it is intergrown with Hingganite-(Y). Other associated minerals include Matrix. It has an incredible size and crystal of extremely rare “Hingganite (Nd)” on the matrix! It’s the largest crystal ever found and seen on a matrix. It has great color and excellent termination.
