This is an attractive, etched, floater crystal of Spodumene from a well-known pegmatite in the mountains of Afghanistan. The color is yellow and Spodumenes with similar coloration are often given the varietal name of Triphane. This is a good example, with a mass of 2567 grams and well-developed mouth-watering etched faces that are truly amazing and makes the piece a stand-out one. The crystal is doubly terminated and complete all around. A very unique spodumene for a collector of larger specimens and gem crystals, who is excited by the usual large sizes.
