Pink Tourmaline is a variety of Tourmaline that can be found in pale light pink, to bright hot pink colors. This mineral can be seen in raw, transparent, and opaque formations. It’s commonly found in association with Quartz, and other Tourmaline colors.Â
Afghanistan is well known for producing a variety of different colors of Tourmalines especially Paprok in Nuristan province and pink color is among the best colors found in this region! One of the most vibrant and electric colors of Tourmalines is found in Mawi Pegmatite, Pachigram Pegmatite field which is about 4 hour’s drive from the famous Paprok Valley in Nuristan Province!Â
This particular specimen is from the same Pachigram Pegmatite field. It is vibrant cranberry pink, perfectly terminated with amazing lustrous Smoky Quartz, snow white Albite, and super shiny white Muscovite! This color is known for being one of the finest pinks ever to be found in such a luster and super vibrant, attractive color in person. They are adorable, and there are no words to explain exactly its real beauty until seen in person!
