According to The Mineralogical Record, “Malkhan has produced some of the largest and finest specimens of colored Tourmaline in the world, especially Rubellite, rivaling discoveries from Brazil, California, Madagascar, and Afghanistan.” This particular specimen is hot and incredibly gemmy and colorful polychrome Tourmaline from the pegmatites of the Malkhan Pegmatite Field in Russia. It has one repair at the top, but the stunning quality and remarkable aesthetics overshadow that slight imperfection.
