Sharp Crystal Tantalite on Albite from Nuristan Afghanistan

Tantalite-(Mn) specimens from this well-known pegmatite locality are rare and seldom available. This excellent, well-striated sharp crystal of Mangano tantalite on beautiful albite, it has a chisel termination and sharp faces tapered edges to go along with the good luster.

The crystal appears to be blackish not translucent but really awesome shape. It’s one of the most perfect and beautiful tantalite I have seen on albite.

This is an excellent example of this uncommon pegmatite species from this locality. Not only the flawless crystal but also really awesome with remarkable colour contrast.
