Amazonite

Amazonite is a striking variety of microcline, admired for its vivid green to blue-green color and bold, blocky crystals. It is best known from the classic localities of Pikes Peak in Colorado and the Ilmen Mountains of Russia, with beautiful specimens also found in Madagascar and Brazil. Its rich color and frequent occurrence in showy crystal clusters make amazonite a favorite among collectors of fine mineral specimens.
