Deep in the heart of the famed Northern Areas of Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan, lies the Nyt Bruk Mine in the Braldu Valley, Shigar District, Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan, a locality celebrated among collectors for producing some of the most striking aquamarine crystals ever discovered. This remote pegmatite zone, nestled high in the Karakoram Range, is known for yielding superb gem-quality beryl crystals often associated with lustrous schorl and snow-white albite. Among its treasures, this particular specimen stands out as a masterpiece of natural harmony.

Discovered in February 2023, it emerged from a large pocket within a rich feldspar matrix — a find that immediately caught our attention for its exceptional clarity and form. The aquamarine crystal exhibits a glowing blue-green tone, characteristic of the finest specimens from Shigar. Its prism faces are perfectly developed and gleam with a glassy luster, while sharp black sprays of schorl contrast dramatically against the pure white albite matrix. This interplay of color, texture, and geometry gives the specimen an extraordinary visual depth that captivates both seasoned collectors and connoisseurs alike.

The Nyt Bruk Mine continues to be a benchmark for world-class aquamarine finds, and this piece embodies the very essence of what makes the locality so revered — purity of color, precision of form, and unmatched aesthetic balance. A true collector’s piece, it represents not only the mineralogical richness of northern Pakistan but also the timeless beauty of nature’s crystal perfection.
