Carlhintzeite

Carlhintzeite is a rare carbonate mineral belonging to the borate group, named in honor of mineralogist Carl Hintze. It typically forms elongated, acicular crystals that are colorless to pale yellow, with a silky to vitreous luster. Due to its rarity and delicate crystal habits, Carlhintzeite specimens are highly sought after by collectors. They are known from only a few limited localities, making them prized additions to advanced collections.
