Dioptase
Dioptase is one of the most striking green minerals, admired for its intense emerald-like color and brilliant luster. Its crystals are typically small but sharply formed, often covering a contrasting matrix in dazzling clusters. Fine specimens are exceptionally well known from the Tsumeb Mine in Namibia, the Kaokoveld Plateau, Kazakhstan, and the Democratic Republic of Congo, with additional occurrences in other localities worldwide. The vivid colors and sparkling presence of dioptase specimens make them stand out as among the most visually captivating additions to any fine mineral collection.
