This remarkable specimen features exceptionally sharp and lustrous andradite garnet crystals perched on a rich matrix of epidote and clinochlore. From Marki Khel, Khogyani, Nangarhar, Afghanistan, it represents one of the finest associations from this classic locality.

The main garnet crystal measures 3 cm across and displays a very dark hue with subtle yellow undertones that glow under the light. Its razor-sharp edges, highly reflective faces, and intricate surface textures make it a standout example of andradite. Surrounding crystals add further balance and depth to the piece.

The garnets sit in striking contrast to the green epidote and clinochlore, enhancing the visual appeal and giving the specimen an aesthetic presence from every angle. As a floater with no damage on any side, it is a complete and well-preserved example, ideally suited for both collectors of Afghan classics and lovers of fine garnet specimens.
