This is a spectacular 15 cm long crystal of spodumene var. triphane from Afghanistan. It glows with a vivid yellow color that intensifies beautifully when light passes through, giving it a radiant and lively presence.
The crystal shows excellent transparency, allowing one to see deep into its interior with remarkable clarity. Its glassy luster enhances the brilliance, making it stand out as a fine gem-quality specimen.
Both terminations are distinctly etched, forming striking natural patterns that add great character and visual interest. Subtle etching also runs through the middle portion of the crystal, softening the surface without taking away from its overall sharpness and clean form.
Altogether, this specimen combines impressive size, glowing color, excellent transparency, and intricate natural etching, making it a truly outstanding example of Afghan triphane.
