This fine epidote specimen comes from the renowned Shigar Valley in northern Pakistan, a source known for producing crystals of exceptional clarity and form. The piece displays a deep, dark color, and it also glows a nice green color on the edges with backlight. Except for damage to a small crystal, the overall condition is excellent. This is a striking and well-balanced example that reflects the alpine character for which this locality has become famous.
